Meet the Teacher
I grew up in Indiana, and decided at a young age that I wanted to become a teacher just like my mom, grandma, and great-grandma. I attended Spring Arbor University for my degree in Elementary Education with music and English Lit minors. I graduated in 2007 and started using my passion in the classroom.
Semester abroad teaching English in Japan at a private Preschool/Kindergarten
Grade 3-6 and Music for a small country school in Washington State
11th Year teaching at Temecula Preparatory School/ 9th year in 3rd
When I am not teaching, I spend most of my time with my husband, our 4 children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. My husband and I have been married for just over 13 years. He is the band director at Dorothy McElhinney Middle School in Murrieta and is an accomplished upright jazz bass player and musical theater orchestra conductor. We both love living in the Temecula Valley, but spend most of our school breaks in Washington State (husband's family) or Indiana (my family).
